Storyline

In de tweede aflevering van de nu al legendarische special LIDOTHEEK x Cineville geven we jullie Brendan Fraser en Rachel Weisz tijdens hun gloriedagen. Toen de CGI nog geen miljarden hoefde te kosten. Toen vrouwen nog gewoon sexy bibliothecaresse mochten zijn, en mannen sexy ‘avonturiers’.  Ja, we hebben het hier natuurlijk over THE MUMMY (1999).

Het is 1925. Na 3.000 jaar komt in de dodenstad Hamunaptra het gemummificeerde lichaam van Imhotep tot leven en de gevolgen hiervan zijn verschrikkelijk. Gelukkig zijn daar professionals Evelyn en Rick om de boel soepeltjes glad te strijken!
